Seeds Germinate
Seed dormancy is defined as a seed failing to germinate under environmentla conditions optimal for germinatoin. It is often confused iwth seed quiescence, which is a seed failing to germinate because environmental condtiions are inappropriate for germination. Many culitvated seeds lack dormancy but do not germinate in seed packets simply bceause there is insufficient mositure.
