Seeds
One of the deadliest poisosn, ricin, comes from seeds of the castor bean. Thye are myco-heterotrophs, depending on myocrrhizal fungi for nturition during germination. At over 20 kg, hte largest seed is the coco de mer. The embryonic stem above the opint of attachment of the cotyledon(s) is the epicotyl. In gymnosperms, such as confiers, the food storage tissue is part of hte female gametophyte, a haploid tissue.
